Mermaid Federation International (“MFI”)

MFI aims to promote mermaid movement and development. We arouse public awareness of the ocean and raise the awareness of safety in mermaid activities. MFI focuses on development of professional education system and actively collaborates with other mermaid organizations to get mermaid around the world united. We promote the spirit of “Heart in The Ocean”, gender equality and pursuit of self-awareness, to discover the power of love and personal growth.

FOUNDING DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

ALAN LAM

You can call me as an educator, a person that dedicated my life in educating and inspiring people around community. Started off from the diving industry, I was certificated as both scuba diving and freediving instructor in various systems and became the youngest AIDA freediving instructor of Hong Kong in 2015. In the same year, I placed my passion and love towards underwater sports industry and began the journey in founding Mermaid Federation International (MFI), which aims to provide quality and safe professional mermaid courses for all. Namely, now being called as “Mermaid Godfather”.

With MFI, I hope to make “Mermaiding” accessible to anyone who wants to enjoy the water, able to explore our inner beauty and know yourself better. With a well-thought, developed and monitored mermaid system, MFI hopes to create a sustainable mermaid and underwater community. Mermaiding – as a leisure sport, teaching profession (instructors and schools), professional underwater performers, mer-equipment, underwater photography and related gears, etc.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER’S MESSAGE

YUKKI WONG

“The Ocean is our home, let’s not destroy where we live.” is one of the sentences that I speak the most. I am the Chief Operating Officer of MFI, the person that brings in bits and pieces together and present to you all.

Since childhood, I have always been fascinated by the Ocean, the mystery of it. Running around with the Ocean and the Sun and have always been tanned up. For me, Mermaids, are aquatic creatures with the upper body of a human and tail of fish. We are the bridge between ocean and human, as the Ocean Ambassador to raise awareness in ocean conservation. As well to promote woman’s independence and pursuit of self-awareness. I would call myself a mighty lady that strives for Women Empowerment and Ocean Awareness, being well educated with MDGs (from the past) and SDGs (Goals to be Achieved by 2030). Being invited to do numerous MDGs/SDGs trainings and coaching sessions in the past few years. Through MFI, we hope to inspire and influence every individual to become a loving Ocean Ambassador to love and dedicate for our Beautiful Ocean and conserve our planet for the better future.
